They are at the heart of Cisbio’s story.
Whatever their field of expertise, their position in our company, they are in permanent interaction and strive for your projects’ success. We have asked a few of them to share how they live “interactions” everyday.
I have been part of the HTRF unit since its launch, more than 20 years ago, and it is always a pleasure to provide service to our Japanese drug discovery customers. The biggest part of my job is to be a bridge between cultures to help connect our Japanese customers and Cisbio. Indeed, I bring new products and information to the Japanese market to help our customers discover and adopt this technology, and I inform my colleagues at Cisbio of our Japanese customers’ unique needs and desires to ensure that we provide the most suitable solutions. I greatly enjoy working with my colleagues and with our customers to this end! To me, “interaction” is our customers' satisfaction. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to help so many development teams in their efforts to bring new drugs to patients.
I have always been interested in the way that people walked in the Edo era. It is very different from the way we now walk, and it enabled people to walk 30-40 km per day for about a week while traveling. Someday, I hope to learn more about it and to be able to use this way to travel myself.
Beyond Cisbio’s slogan, the word “interaction” brings to my mind exchanges between people, and, with my work, I help provide the best environment possible so that these exchanges can be successful. Indeed, as Head of Accounting at Cisbio, I guarantee the company’s financial health to ensure that our clients, partners, and suppliers can trust us and work with us with peace of mind.
Exchange is also an important part of my personal life, whether with my family or with the outside world. In fact, I would love to bring my family on a trip around the world so as to spend quality time with my daughters and allow them to discover new cultures and new places.
I am a Senior Scientific Advisor for our customers in Japan, and as such I am in charge of sales and technical support in the field and custom assay development in our lab. Before joining Cisbio in 2001, I dedicated over 10 years of my career to immunoassay development for diagnostics and drug screening. I will always help you find the best solution, by combining our technology, our expertise and your ideas. Your utmost satisfaction is the fruit of our interaction.
I have been a passionate skier almost my entire life, but I have not yet met the same success in my skiing as I have in my professional career. However, I hope to improve my skills by applying the same will and determination to my passion as to my job. My first focus will be to analyze and understand rational biomechanics!
I am a Scientific Consultant for Cisbio China, which means that I maintain close relationships with our customers and provide them with all the support they need for an optimum experience with our technologies. My advice is based on my own extensive practice in a lab setting, which helps me understand and respond best to each customer’s unique requirements.
To me, interaction is the key to mutual understanding, whether in a professional situation or on a personal level. In fact, I hope that through interaction, we will one day live in a world devoid of all discrimination where humans can truly be free. As I am fascinated with astrophysics, I also hope that our understanding will expand to include the workings of the universe, and, why not, one day that we will be able to interact with alien life forms!
I am the Custom Solutions Manager for North America, which means that I lead a team of scientists to develop custom-designed assays to help our customers advance their research goals. In my work like in life, I enjoy exploring new areas. I love travelling to unusual places, where I find that other cultures and incredible nature provide me with new perspectives. I apply the same philosophy to my work to come up with unique innovative solutions for our customers.
For me, interaction is like building a complex puzzle, where each person contributes a different piece that builds on the others, ultimately revealing the object of our common pursuit.
After leading Cisbio's R&D group dedicated to assays and applications for oncology research, I have taken a new role as Global Product Manager. I utilize my experience and connections with industry experts, fellow researchers, and current team members to identify the hot topics in oncology and immuno-oncology. This knowledge and understanding will lead the way to new assays and ultimately help progress the discovery of new drugs helping to fight cancer. To me, "interaction" means collaboration, exchange, and connection, paving the way to innovation!
On a personal note, my dream is to make it possible for my family and friends to share an amazing trip on a paradise island. This would require winning the lottery, but luckily Corsica is very beautiful and much more accessible!
My responsibilities as Chemistry Project Manager at Cisbio include overseeing the chemistry side of our Custom Solutions activity to find original labeling solutions for our customer’s specific projects, as well as working on improving the sensitivity of our probes to enhance the overall performance of our assays. In chemistry, like in life, I like to challenge myself to push the boundaries of performance. My dream is to complete the ascent to the summits of Mount Acongagua in Argentina, the highest point in the southern hemisphere at 6962m, and of Mount Shishapangma in Tibet/China, which is the 14th highest mountain in the world at 8027m.
As R&D Project Manager, I lead a team of scientists who imagine, develop, and optimize innovative tools and assays so that our customers can explore new areas of research in human health. We are all entities in a system that, through interaction, can accomplish complex processes. Together, we can tackle any of the difficulties medical research faces!
In all that I do, I always endeavor to take on new and exciting challenges, and I always strive for excellence in doing so. The personal challenge I have set myself and that I hope to one day accomplish would be to participate in the dressage competition (equestrian sports) at the Olympics.
My main role as Web Designer and Digital Marketing Project Manager is to oversee our website’s updates to make the information our customers need as easily accessible as possible. Whether I’m working on the latest content or designing new applications, my top priority and concern are the users, whom I aim to provide with clear, practical, and beautiful solutions. I believe that interaction is working together to move forward together, which requires listening to one another. Through my work and artistic passions, I try to create connection so as not to leave anyone behind, as we are all part of the machine that makes great things possible!
I also believe that it is never too late to focus on or come back to your passions. Indeed, although I had to put my music aside for several years to concentrate on a real estate project, I was finally able to return to my guitars last year, take up lessons again, and play in a pop/rock band! There is no age limit to make your dreams come true!
As Senior Technical Specialist at Cisbio US, I am in charge of sales and technical support for all academics in the US and South America. This means that I answer any questions they might have at any time about HTRF reagents and assays. From ensuring that they receive their orders as quickly as possible to providing guidance and training in the use of the test, I am available to help our customers every step of the way. I believe that, whether for molecules or for people, interaction is essential and inevitable. Through the associations and partnerships that interaction generates, we can accomplish anything! For example, in my personal life, I am a member of a charity that helps youth development in Chad. By working together with our partners, we have so far been able to provide books, school and sports supplies, and built a classroom. I am hoping we can one day help build a library: a challenging project, but thanks to interaction, not impossible!
My favorite part of my job as HTRF Assay Development Scientist at Cisbio is that I get to collaborate directly with our customers to develop unique and innovative assays. I am in direct contact with our clients from the beginning, when we discuss the specific criteria to meet, to the end, when I help them transfer and use the tailored solution in their own labs. This type of mutually beneficial exchange perfectly illustrates my understanding of interaction.
I have always been fascinated by medical research and disciplines, and in particular in traditional Chinese medicine, which combines several approaches to health to restore balance to energy fluxes in the body. I recently decided to pursue this passion and enrolled in a 5-year training program so that one day I might also help people heal by using this method.
As Technical Production Officer, I coordinate with the production and logistic teams, and package our products so that they arrive quickly and in optimum condition when we fulfill orders. I believe that the highest performance can be achieved not when every department simply does its best, but when those highly achieving departments interact with each other.
My biggest dream would be to open and run an orphanage. While this might seem unrealistic and impossible at times, I feel that this would be how I could have the biggest positive impact and truly contribute to making the world a better place.
The gender balance is a fundamental criteria which we closely manage.
In December 2020, 91 women and 81 men were employed at our site in Codolet, France, and our Women/Men index was 98/100.
